"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
-Hebrews 12:1

Today there is no question that we are in the midst of the busiest society and culture in our history. We have more distractions, more activities, more demands, greater technology and information available to process, more than anyone could possibly manage. Let's face it, we live a hectic, congested life doing all we can to keep balance with family, career and our relationship with God.
Recognizing the enormous pressure and challenges we face daily, we started to think about men trying to sort through all of that and then being reminded that no man can do this alone, no man can do it without Christ in the center of their life. We need other men walking beside us on the Front Line of life.
Hebrews 12:1 tells us to run with perseverance
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Philippians 3:12-14
I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Our ministry this year will focus on running the race together as Front Line Men. Many of you know that I've done a few triathlon events in recent years. In 2007 I completed a full Ironman Race, a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a full 26 mile marathon. Just as that required a commitment to a disciplined daily training plan, we too must prepare and train for the race that God has set before us. That will require us to do three things:
Commit to Run
We need to recognize that there is a prize to win fixing our eyes on Jesus and pressing on toward the goal to win the prize.
Commit to Team
There's a team to join, it's about team work, being on the Front Line together. When we put our faith in Christ we become part of a team, a part of the body of Christ. Prov 27:17 "as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
Commit to Train
There is training to be done. Just as we would train for a marathon or triathlon building strength, speed, training to finish strong, we need to train hard to be godly men, in God's word, developing the training plan, encouraging one another, shoulder to shoulder on the Front Line, overcoming obstacles together, in starting blocks together and crossing the finish line together.
How we run this race will impact our relationship with our God, our wives, our children, our friends, our community. Every aspect of our lives.
Front Line Men's ministry is all about helping to equip you to run with perseverance the race set before us. Please don't journey alone, join us. Commit to run, commit to the team and commit to train with us.
