
Crossroads Baptist Church was the collective vision of First Baptist Church of The Woodlands, Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association, and The Baptist General Convention of Texas.
1992 - 12 families begin meeting on Easter Sunday at Collins Intermediate.
1993 - Larry A. York and his family are called to The Woodlands to lead this young church averaging 35 people each Sunday.
1995 - In June, Crossroads begins meeting in Colin Powell Elementary for both Sunday School and worship services.
1995 - In December, Crossroads moves into their first building with seating for 250.
1997 - The church launches 3 morning worship services to accommodate the significant growth. With a passion for missions, Crossroads also starts new churches locally, in other states, as well as internationally.
2000 - Crossroads moves into their current facilities, providing for 500-plus individuals to worship together in 2 services, with enough classrooms to have only 1 Sunday School.
2001 - Shortly after moving into the current facilities, Crossroads resumes a schedule of 3 worship services and 2 Sunday Schools to accommodate the growth.
2003 - The Beyond 2003 Team is formed to begin evaluating the alternatives Crossroads faces for expansion.
2004 - With continued growth and shortage of parking, Crossroads begins offsite parking with shuttle service from the Alden Bridge Village Center.
2005 - The Beyond 2003 Team presents findings from their study and makes the recommendation to purchase property on College Park Drive, secure interim financing, begin the UWB capital campaign, and sell the existing facilities at the appropriate time.
2005 - On December 21, 2005, Crossroads closes on the purchase of approximately 21 acres on College Park Drive.
2006 - In April, building team formed and MG&A selected as design/builder.
2007 - In February, building plans were approved for the main building, preschool/children’s wing, student building, and parking, and financing was secured. The second wing was put on hold until the sale of the property at Research Forest.
2008 - In November, Crossroads moves into the new facilities at College Park. Half of the staff continues to have offices at the Research Forest campus.
2009 - In June, Crossroads enters into a lease with option to purchase agreement with Celebration Church for the Research Forest property.
2011 - In June, Crossroads closes on the sale of the Research Forest campus to Celebration Church.
2011 - On September 18, Crossroads selects DaySpring Management to complete Phase 1 construction and add additional parking with a west property exit .
