May/June 2008

19. Sidewalks - advised TWCA where we plan to cut through fence for gate and put sidewalk; .200 yards of concrete sidewalks were poured Saturday May 31 - ongoing +/- 75% complete
 20. Installation of additional support for cantilever - Completed
 21. Repaint white walls in North Wing - selected a beige color, painting  complete
 22. North Wing Worship Center - ceiling to be repainted black, walls to be painted dark gray,  Complete
 23. Youth Bldg Worship Center - walls to be painted dark gray , in progress
 24. Sanctuary Cafe - location of AVL equipment and TV's , in progress; selection of equipment in progress
 25. Drop Ceilings - begin close-in of all drop ceilings.

 27. Redesign of stadium seating to accomodate stadium chairs - met with architect, work in progress for changes, being reviewed by structural engineer
 28. Wall in North Wing Childrens Play area 1st floor - radius wall repaired, ready to be painted.

April 2008

  • Sanctuary - Continue installing studs, stadium seating studs, drywall, sheathing, duct work, electrical ,stucco and stone. Beginning installation of windows in the Commons Area on north side of sanctuary. Begin stucco on tower.
  • North Wing - Continue installing studs, drywall, duct work and electrical. Painting interior masonary walls in the halls. Begin painting classrooms on second floor.
  • Youth Bldg - Continue installing studs, duct work, drywall, stucco and electrical.

March 2008

  • Start roofing on Youth Bld and North Wing.
  • Roofing tower module.
  • Continue installing studs, drywall, sheathing and duct work in Sanctuary, North Wing and Youth Building.
  • Complete rebar installation on the northwest and southeast parking/drive areas.
  • Hydro west parking and drainage areas.
  • Installing window and door frames in North Wing.
  • Continue stone work on North Wing.
    February 2008
    • Completed work on walls on North Wing.
    • Set up crane and begin setting roof on North Wing.
    • Completed infill of medians on west side parking.
    • Continue installing studs, drywall and sheathing on Sanctuary.
    • Poured parking/drive area on eastside next to Academy Way and southwest parking/drive area next to Academy Way & 242.
    • Continue installation of roof drainage on Sanctuary.
    • Completed installation of "short" trusses  on the Youth Bldg.
    • Brick masons completed work on Youth Bldg and continue work on North Wing.
    • Begin installation of duct work in sanctuary.
    • Turn on power to site.
    • Finish walls on North Wing.

    January 2008

    • Continue installing metal decking on sanctuary structure.
    • Complete pouring Eastside Parking (Eastern area).  
    • Pulling electical cables for loop and transformers.  
    • Install light poles on Westside and Eastside Parking  
    • Block masons working on Youth Bldg. 
    December 2007
    • Continue to prepare/pack and stabilize soil on Eastside Parking
    • Continue decking on second floor of North Wing
    • Continue to build walls on Youth bldg
    • Pour drive entrances to Westside Parking
    • Begin steel erection on sanctuary
    • Install four steel columns on North Wing
    • Continue walls in preparation for 2nd floor slab

     November 2007

    • Main building slab poured
    • Student building slab poured
    • Construction on walls begins

    September 2007
     
    • Currently MG&A is working on the following:

      • Montgomery County MUD has approved the outfall structures
      • All drainage pipe has been completed with the exception of the tie-in at the road crossing.
      • Drainage installation is progressing on the East Side
    • West Side Parking
      • Spoils are being removed and stabilization of soil should begin this next week
      • Current schedule calls for the concrete pour to be done in late October and early November
      • TX DOT East drive entrance is completed
    • Main Sanctuary Site
      • Select fill is completed (Praise to God!!)
      • Drilling and pouring of piers to begin next week
      • Underground utility rough-in should begin 9/10/07
    • Youth Building Foundation
      • Site is prepared and waiting on underground utilities
    • Utilities
      • The final utility plan has been approved from Entergy
      • Electrical contractor (A&H Electric) to begin installation of underground utilities 9/4/07.
    • Other
      • Steel delivery scheduled to start 11/06/07
      • All major contracts with the exception of the millwork have been executed.

    August 22, 2007 - Over the next three months, construction progress will include:

    • Pier and foundation drilling 
    • Underground utility construction
    • Parking lot work 
    • and the delivery of steel.

    May 2007

    • Land clearing begins.
    • Groundbreaking Service was held on May 6, 2007 at The Woodlands Christian Academy Gym with over 1,200 in attendance and was followed by a groundbreaking ceremony on the SH-242 property and a family BBQ lunch.

    March 2007

    • We had an overwhelmingly unanimous approval vote from the church to move forward with the construction of Phase IA (main worship center), Phase IB (youth building) and the West parking area. We are currently working with our bank, Comerica to get the loan closed and the GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) has been signed.
    • The official groundbreaking has been set for May 6th.
    • The permitting process is ongoing and construction will start in the coming weeks.

    January 2007

    • Facility ABF meetings on January 14 & 21 
    • Virtual tour video presented during all 3 worship services on January 7, 2007 view virtual tour
    • Lease agreement signed with The Woodlands Christian Academy

    October-November, 2006

    • Geophysical survey completed
    • Timber survey being conducted
    • Building survey initiated in November 2006
    • Awaiting Master Site Plans approvals from The Woodlands Operating Company
    • Detail drawings being completed
    • Anticipated GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) expected in January 2007
    • FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) Sub Team is currently working
    • AVL (Audio, Visual, Lighting) Contractor selected (LD Systems)
    • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is ongoing

    The Woodlands Operating Company approves "Future Home of Crossroads Baptist Church" sign to be placed at the corner of SH-242 and Alden Woods Drive/Academy Way.

    January 21, 2006

    United We Build Capital Campaign begins.  The campaign team was formed to seek commitments from the church family that would enable Crossroads to relocate its campus to the recently purchased property on SH-242/College Park Drive in The Woodlands.

    December 21, 2005

    Purchased 21 acres at the intersection of Hwy 242 and Alden Woods Dr.
